The trail ranging from 41st Avenue and Kipling Street to the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling St., running along Lena Gulch will be closed from Jan. 14 through Feb. 15 for construction.
A detour is available just to the east of the intersection.
The construction is aimed at improving flooding issues in the area of the Kipling underpass.
The city of Wheat Ridge is accepting applications from residents wanting to serve on various boards and commissions.
Applications must be turned into the city clerk’s office, 7500 W. 29th Ave., by Friday, Feb. 1.
Residents must live within the position’s district for which they are applying.
There are openings for Animal Welfare district one, two and four; Board of Adjustment, district one and two and one at-large alternate; Building Code Advisory Board district one, three and four; Cultural Commission districts three and four; Housing Authority district one; Jefferson County Library Board Liaison at-large; Liquor Licensing Authority districts one, two three and four; Parks and Recreation Commission districts one and four; and Planning Commission districts one, two and three.
