This year’s freshman class is the largest in Colorado School of Mines’ history — about 1,380 new freshmen and transfer students began classes, along with the upperclassmen, on Aug. 20.

Mines’ Class of 2022 consists of 31 percent women, 22.5 percent underrepresented domestic ethnic or racial groups and 6 percent international students.
