Suspected homicide in Wheat Ridge

On Sunday, July 29, 2018 at approx. 2:30 p.m., Wheat Ridge Police Department responded to a call about a suspected homicide in the 8700 block of W. 46th Ave.

An adult female was found in the residence and declared dead at the scene. Wheat Ridge Police have arrested Joshua Kane, 31, who was charged with first degree murder.

The name of the victim was not released, as of July 30, pending the contacting of next of kin.

The Wheat Ridge Police Department report says no other suspects are currently being sought in this case, and no cause of death was given. The investigation is ongoing.
