November 21 – Mile High Community Band Fall Concert featuring Copland's Lincoln Portrait, Ed Greene, narrator will perform in the auditorium at Alameda International Junior/Senior High School 1255 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood 80232. Time: 6:30 pm - The Jazz Combo, Big Jazz Band will also perform. Access parking off of Louisiana west of Wadsworth.

The Jazz Combo will play A Night in Tunisia by Dizzy Gillespie and Frank Paparelli; Lover Man by Jimmy Davis, Roger Ramirez and James Sherman; as well as two pieces arranged by Jazz Combo members: Perdido by Juan Tizal, arr. by Bruce Kruger* and The Chicken by Pee Wee Ellis, transcribed and arr. by Ken Tomlinson*. *Jazz Combo members

The Jazz Band will perform Switch in Time by Sammy Nestico, Decoupage by Hank Levy, Begin the Beguine by Cole Porter/Tr. Jeff Hest, and Flight of the Foo Birds by Count Basie.

In addition to Lincoln Portrait, the Concert Band will perform North Sea Overture by Ralph Hermann, The Denver Post March (1905) by Fred Jewell/arr. Daniel Leavitt, Beguine for Band by Glenn Osser and Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson.

The concert is free thanks to Jefferson County Science and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), Alameda International Junior/Senior High School and Denver North High School.
